Summary
Note: This is exclusively a review for the camper stopover, not of the larger Ansitz Gamp. The camperstop area is located across the street from the actual campsite, which is guarded by a keycard. Check-in is done at the “real” Ansitz Gamp. The lady at the reception was polite but did try and persuade us to check into the “real” campsite (which is €60/night, so thanks; no thanks). The camper stopover is next to a busy bus station, where a 24/24 public restroom can be found (it does get a somewhat strange vibe at night). Electricity and water are included in the site. Greywater can be dumped at the camper stopover. If you ask, you can dump blackwater at the “real” campsite. The views from the camper stopover of the Sabiona Monastery are incredible at night, and the old town is only a short 5-min walk away, which are definite bonus points.
- Very expensive given that there is no shower or bathroom included in the price,
- You can hear the highway at night,
- Located close to oldtown, but in a shady area itself,
- Gorgeous views of the Sabiona Monastary!
